Shawnee Smith (born July 3 1970, height 5"3" is an American actress on television and film and musician. Smith's most notable roles are as Amanda Young and Linda on the CBS sitcom Becker. Smith was a member of the band metal Fydolla ho. With them, she performed in and around the United States and United Kingdom. She also is a member of Smith & Pyle, a country-rock band that was formed with Missi Pyle. Shawnee Smith is the daughter of Jim Smith, a former US Air Force Pilot and financial planner, who also worked as an oncology nurse. She was born in Orangeburg South Carolina. Smith's family moved from South Carolina to Van Nuys California as a year old her parents divorced when she was two, and her mother married after she turned eight. She attended Ranchito Avenue Elementary School in Panorama City Los Angeles and Madison Jr. High in North Hollywood. Later, she attended North Hollywood High School in North Hollywood California and graduated in 1987. In 2019, she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics alongside her songwriting collaborators Jack Dolgen and the late Adam Schlesinger for Antidepressants Are So Not a Big Deal. In the present, Rachel is doing a spring/summer 2023 tour of her live-show Death Let Me Do My Special. In 2019, Rachel sold out Radio City Music Hall performing Crazy Ex-Girlfriend: Live as an element of her multi-show tour. Also, she performed on her own solo tour entitled What Am I Doing with My Life? This tour featured a residence for a period of one week at Just For Laughs.
